I am working on a module similar to the Articles module. Some of the ideas I am playing with include:

- Option to create snapshot on each edit
- Version history (including who edited it, on what date etc...)
- Ability to roll-back to a previous snapshot
- Article 'Requires Approval' of user (by role?) before publication
- Email notification of edits or new posts

I also really want the ability to auto code highlight. I have tried Chili and Google Code Prettify.

Anyone got any idea of the best code highlighter to use?

I still not use code highlighter so above options is better for Articles module. I like admin can moderate every comment if anyone posted, rollback to any version of article.

Require approval? Does it mean workflow? Administrator create a line for each article to go?

When you say 'Workflow' I do not mean the new core services that are hinted at the moment in the 2.0 trunk. What I mean is just setting a user as the person of sole responsibility to flag the item as ok for publication. So if an item is edited and there is a user that is set (as the person who approves any edits/creations), they will be emailed. They can then check the edits and approve them (or not).

So it is not really workflow, just more of a quality check.

I have been looking at the trunk and its ContentItem etc... and the services therein. I would have make that module very differently and may well do a 2.0 version similar very soon. Then use the search and other services.
