Testers required for the latest Cuyahoga version. If you would like to get early access and help with testing please indicate by adding to this thread. Thanks.

What kind of testing is needed? I'm still tinkering with the framework from time to time.

In short, everything. To begin with we are only testing on SQL Server and Microsoft .net 3.5. We will make the source available and the testers can build the solution and test.

I have a 'to do' list but there will always be more bugs and issues found with many testers.

Count me in!

I'll test it on:
- my local Vista (IIS7) / SQL Server 2008 Express and
- hosted version of WinSrv 2008 with SQL Server 2008
+ the hosting company has left the server pretty open and I currently run cuy 1.6 on there. When I tested cuy 2.0 alpha, it froze after using the newer Manager, so it will be a good test.

Also, feel free to ask me to verify bugs.

Also - it would be nice to know if the new version runs where cuy 1.6 could NOT run before. It would really open up the hosting choices.

Thanks,
Yeorwned

I can do some basic smoke testing but I cannot contribute to any regression testing at this time.

Hopefully, testing this version will not result in any hardware issues happy

Has anyone ever had issues with zip and tar archives from Github?

The Cuyahoga.sln does not load when the src is downloaded in .zip or .tar.gz format.

It seems as though the line breaks have changed causing the solution not to load. Loading the original into notepad confirms this. The zip archive version is different.

Winmerge also states in a warning that the line breaks are different.

Never seen any open source projects use github before. Most seem to use either Google's or Microsoft's repositories.

I'll have a look for you. Windows 2003 and SQLExpress 2008 for mine...

Looking forward to seeing what you have been up to :-)
